Found my blade. Treet Dura Sharp

I've been a fan of Treet Platinums which always treated me well, but I'm not familiar with the Dura Sharps. They sound good.

I've recently gravitated to Treet Carbon blades and I am really loving those. They are super smooth and they may soon be my go-to blades.

Treet Dura Sharp is one of the finest blades I've used. Very sharp, which you can really feel. I've been using them with a Rockwell with a 3 plate. It seems to tame the weight of the razor, which I've struggled witth when using other blades. I've gone five shaves and could go more.
I think they're awesome too.

Coated edges or not, I only get 1 shave before rust starts to affect them though...maybe a 2nd shave 24 hours later. Forget about it if they sit in the razor any longer than that. The time limitation comes up before they have a chance to wear out. Perhaps this is all in my head and of course different environments come into play. I am too lazy to do any preservation procedures.

Anyone doing "one & done" Feathers ought to give these particular Treets a try at 1/3rd the cost. They are a different grind that might not work, but the sharpness is similar IMO.

My 2nd favorite Treet is the Classic (also a carbon steel blade). Classics are subjectively less sharp than Dura Sharps, but are one of the most forgiving and comfortable blades I've used...at least one tuck was. Am pretty happy with Dura Sharps so never got more.

Treet Classic is not to be confused with "Treet Carbon" aka Black Beauty which is one step above a butter knife IMO, but some people love them too. YMMV.

It's kickoff night for Shark Week so I've already shaved. That said, I had a miserable face shave due to the cheap razor I was using. So all of my under chin whiskers were still intact. So, Shark Week or not, those whiskers were fair game. I loaded up a Treet Dura Sharp in my Muhle R89 and prepared those rebel whiskers with Arko shave stick and hot tap water. Scraped that Muhle against the grain and re-lathered. Across the grain again and zowie. DFS under the chin which, for me, is pretty much unheard of. Rinsed and hit it with two splashes of Osage Rub. Reeling from the cold sting! After Shark Week is Minora Week. But then, I'm planning to put the rest of this 10 blade tuck of Treet Dura Sharps thru a multiple razor gauntlet. So many razors, too few whiskers!
