Floid Black

Got a sample of Floid Black from an awesome member on here and at first I didn't like it. Well, I'm changing my mind. Starts off kinda pineapple like, but it reminds me of Tim McGraw Southern Blend without the dirtiness. It's the fruity part of the fragrance that is hidden under all the other notes. It's the first Floid I've tried, and it smells good. Haven't used it as an aftershave yet, but definitely on stand-by  In other news, I tried Alt-Innsbruck (also from the same member)...smells kinda like cough medicine or something. ick. Just means I don't gotta buy it ever. Floid is kinda expensive, but the bottles are huge, so I might one day buy a Black. It sounds like blue is a super safe buy (if it is ANYTHING like AV it's good). The other one, I dunno.

Just tried it as an aftershave. This stuff feels nice! Like, wow, I love this stuff. Except...the scent isn't so perfect. It's kinda boring and not worth $30-$50 FOR ME, but if the other Floid's FEEL like this...I need to get some! hahaha. Seriously good stuff. Can't wait to try the Blue and Vigoroso/Suave at some point!

No sting, very nice menthol. It's around AV strength for me, maybe a little less. For some reason it didn't make my skin "tight," just nice, smooth, and natural. I'm hoping I love one of the other scents.

My Floid aftershave preference goes (from most to least): Blue, Vigoroso, Suave, "The Genuine", and then Black. Black is so.... un-Floid-like IMO. It's just so different compared to the other ones. Not really bad.... but not my favorite either. I usually throw it into my shave when I'm using a fruity type cream or soap.

Isn't Genuine the same as Vigoroso/Suave but made in another country (among small differences)? I'm new to this Floid terminology.

"The Genuine" is originally from Italy.... and is also known as Floid Amber by many. It's different from Vigoroso and Vigoroso is different from Suave.... although Vigoroso and Suave are the most similar IMO. Suave is sort of a "toned down" version of Vigoroso.... both in scent and menthol. Floid Amber or "The Genuine" is more powdery of a scent..... which I'm not a huge fan of.

Sounds good, I just wish it came in smaller bottles. You guys like Clubman?

I don't like Clubman.... but I can see why guys do. I guess it's not that I don't like it.... I just prefer so many other aftershave scents more. Again, it's that powdery thing. Canoe is the same way for me.... too powdery.

I like Clubman Talc, but not aftershave. I don't like powdery liquids, to me it's weird smelling. No idea why. Can you describe Vigoroso? Is it citrusy? I'm not a huge powder fan so I might have to go that route.
