I almost pulled the trigger on this, but paused to recollect whether it was worth and then it was gone. I've seen worse things go for much more.

You can find a set like that and polish it for way less. If you look at some of his past auctions he polishes to much and takes the plating down to where the brass underneath is starting to polish as well. Just a heads up.

Thanks for the heads up. Still, the plating on that still looks pretty good. But I'm a cheapskate, I go after loose razors with dings and plate loss.

I got my Red-tip all dirty it was real fun cleaning it. Got it to shine and all but the front part of the handle looks like some idiot dragged it behind a car. There are also large yellow spots from missing chrome on it. I like how that razor looks better than all those flashy re-plated ones. Personally, I do not like Shrine-Quality Razors or Shrine-Quality anything for that matter especially If I am going to use it.
