First try at making/designing my own brush

Here is some pic´s of my first try to make my own brush.
I design the handles my self and then a friend of me, did the woodwork.

I´ve used 2 boar knots, that I took from a cheap Proraso (Omega) brush....i know, it´s a cheap brush, but it´s my first go at this and i actually like that pig

please let me know what you think of these two babies.

Great work. It will be a pleasure to shave in the mornings with a brush made by your own hand!

Where did you get the metal rings for the brushes?
Did you make them, buy them separate, or did they come that way?

Actually i "stole" the knots, that are glued into the chrome plastic rings from the "factory", from 2 cheap Proraso brushes i had laying around.

The black handle is made of bug oak, extremely old oak that has been laying in a bug for many many many years, its all black and very hard, rare and pretty cost"ish"....but looks and feels amazing

Thank you all, for the nice comments

Wow, I was thinking you must of ebonized it, but it's actually that color. And oak... That is really cool and must be pretty rare, like nice spalted wood. Way to go!
