First SR Shave Completed!

I took the plunge today with a Kropp I got off a great guy on here and am totally thrilled to report I have NO CUTS, NICKS, or WEEPERS!!!! I must say it was a terrific experience!!!! Of course I did feel a little uncomfortable with the left hand mainly because I couldn't see what I was doing very well and the scales were touching my face and wiping the lather off a little. I did notice a little more irritation feedback with the witch hazel application after, but I chalk that up to poor technique since this was the first go at it. I also didn't strop the razor at all prior to shaving (got a 2 strap strop kit coming from Whipped Dog by Friday or Saturday), obviously that is a critical step in the process that I won't omit after this weekend. Did 2 passes WTG no problem at all. Very exciting times....

Welcome aboard! I was scared to death my first couple of shaves with a Parker broken blade. Now I can't wait to shave every nite. I started trying to use both hands, but I now only use my right, it can be difficult to see what i'm doing at times, but I find I can manuvour (sp?) around my glasses better one handed.
