First Shave with the Super Adjustable

I got my SA in the mail today, fresh from ebay. I wanted to give it a test run, and since I have an interview tomorrow, I decided I'd take my time and try for the best shave I could get.

I'm extremely excited about the BBS I got out of this baby! No irritation or burn, and it even got the trouble spots under my chin! I used all proraso/bigelow products, and it was a beautiful thing! I'm so stoked about my day tomorrow, it is definitely a confidence boost!

I'm really digging the gillette adjustables, and I think that once I get my Fatboy this week, I'm gonna PIF/sell off the others. The versatility just can't be beat!

I definitely recommend the Gillette Adjustables (Slim, Fatboy, Super, etc.) to anyone looking for a first razor, or their fiftieth!

Nice! I just got a Fatboy in the mail today , its soaking in scrubbing bubbles right now. I am willing my beard to grow just a little bit more so I can shave tonight

When I started to accumulate a few different razors, I started to shave twice a day, just to try different ones. That was fun for awhile.

Of course when you're retired and don't have much else to do it's pretty easy.

My '69 SA is my favorite razor. It gives consistently fantastic shaves.

Out of all my razors, the Super Adjustable gives the most consistently good shave, I'd say. In my opinion, it's the best of the common Gillette adjustables (fat boy/slim/SA). Particularly the longer handled one, actually.

Agree on all counts--The SA always gave me the closest shave, followed by the Slim and then the Fatboy.

I am starting to think my Super Adjustable might be my favorite shaver, despite its general lack of aesthetic appeal. I love them all (old, NEW, Ranger Tech etc.), but the Super Adjustable is mighty smooth and forgiving.

It just works and works well.

My only concern is that since it does not seem to matter how I drag it across my skin I am letting my technique go. I have remind myself to think about what I am doing when I use another razor or I give myself a nice case of razor rash.
