First shave with the executive

Broke out my nice new executive today. Set it on 4, popped a new personna med in and went to work. Three day growth, didn't change anything from my other shaves with my trusty 89L. Did not get a great shave in my problem area which for me is my chin area. Got some burn and I little blood. Do you guys think this is a learning curve with the new razor or should I take it down to 3 for now ?

My advice is to take it down to 3 and shave with it for a couple months. You need to learn how to shave with it.

You may wish to aim for comfort as your goal and let closeness come in it's own time.

Don't listen to these guys. Open it up to 9 and use a Feather.

Just kidding. Well, maybe. I get worse shaves with a mild razor than an aggressive one, and I have found the shaves with a Gillette adjustable to be much better when opened all the way up.
