First shave Oy Vay!

Well I finally did it. Straight razor shave + finish with DE. My blade isn't sharp enough, so I'll wait until hone arrives.

Any suggestions for techniques around the chin and upper lip? I can't get the hang of it.

For my upper lip I bring the blade up under my nose, edge pointed right at my face, then I rotate it as I make the pass. Second nature, once you do it a few times.

I presume that you use the blade in a downward motion, not against the grain.

Yes, the downward stroke is the difficult one because the nose is in the way.

For ATG, I go diagonally from each side to avoid cutting my lip.
