First Shave -

Last Friday evening I joined Badger & Blade. Saturday I bought from a member a, Gillette “Black Beauty” & “Slim”. Sunday I bought a Edwin Jagger 89DL.

Yesterday the “Slim” & “Black Beauty” arrived in the mail. The Edwin Jagger has yet to arrive. This morning I did my first shave with a double edged razor in over twenty years.

The shave was done with the “Black Beauty”, and canned Noxezma cream. Haven’t had a chance yet to investigate a brush & soap. Even though, I had used a DE razors years ago, I was somewhat nervous. Set the razor on only the 2 setting, using a dollar store Personna blade and got the closest shave I’ve had in years. No nicks, or cuts, I was careful.

Tomorrow, I’ll likely remain careful and change the setting to the 3 position. . . .

congrats!!!!If you wanna try a cheap but good soap, walmart has a VDH brush soap and dish kit for about eight bucks. You will feel the difference.

Sound good so far! Wait until you get into some really nice soaps and creams...the world will suddenly feel just a little more comfortable. :thumbup1:

This morning adjusted the razor to step 3, it was an easier shave than with step 2. May try step 4 this weekend.
