First Proper Straight

Hello again. Last time I posted on this subforum I talked about my first straight shave which was performed with a shavette that I got for $10. I really enjoyed the experiene so I went to classicshaving to purchse a proper straight and this is what I picked up http://www.classicshaving.com/catalog/item/522940/190273.htm
(it a Dovo 5/8 SS with ebony handle). What do you think of my choice?

I think a Dovo 5/8 is a good choice for a first razor.

I'm glad that I chose well. I heard that the SS razors keep their edge longer. Is this true? By the way, I was at an antique shop and a rather new Mehaz was there for $5 so I got it. From what I have seen, they are pretty damn hard to hone but can be made into a decent shaver. Do you guys have any experience with this? Thanks so much for the replies.
