Finally! A good shave with a Crystal

Finally got a good shave with a Crystal blade. The very first blade from my very first pack pulled and tugged real bad. I chunked that one and the next one worked well. Today I put a new one in my 3 piece and it did great. BBS in about 10 minutes...except for a couple of real small spots under my jaw that I didn't notice until after I had cleaned things up...not enough to go back and mess with.

I've been trying to figure out the difference; I think that I used some puck soap on the first blades. Today I whipped up some meringue pie lather using proraso and it did very well. That's the only change in the variables from the other shaves.

It must have been the soap, either that or I just had a good shave day today.

yeah.. you get a bad blade rarely.. Crystals rock!

I remember when I discovered Crystal's. Feather's were too sharp and Crystal's were just right.
I still love them, but the sharper blades are my faves now.
I think it's best to let time take it's course with our blade selections.
Crystals were my favorites in the beginning. So I bought, and used, 100.
Bought another 100 crystals and a sampler pack.
The crystals were still my favorites.
I was going through all kinds of different razors too. Future, 34c, 23c, long slant, lady gillette, gillette slim adjustable, Muhle 41r, EJ89, Mergress, and Feather portable, among others.
Suddenly I became enamored with the Sharks and Irridiums.
Went through 100 of each and now I'm back to Feathers.
Just received 250 feathers to use in my Mergress and Feather portable.
This is my current position.
