I'm considering the purchase of an F4 toggle which has a 1-9 adjusting ring. The seller states that the ring turns tightly, but does not lock into any position. Is this normal, easily repairable, or something I should stay away from?
+1....Like rx says.... See if refund/return is possible if it does not work.I've had a few that were stiff but adjusted fine. Simply see if the seller offers a refund if this doesn't work. Only way to find out is get your hands on it.
There is no way to know for sure till you have it and try to clean it up, but it may just be gunked up. I think in general Toggles are tighter than say Fat Boys, but a clean Toggle would click at the numbered stops.I'm not as worried about the adjustment being stiff as the fact that there is no click stop at the numbers. Is this normal?
That is Matt from Razor Emporium, he has a serial number Prototype 1 to 5 dial gold Toggle. They supposedly don't click and only and the toggle only goes to one side to open.I found it here they talk about this model at about 4:55. It sounds like a special toggle![]()
You may have a serial numbered prototype 1-5 Toggle. Do hve a date code or numbers on yours?Mine clicks as well but in the video they have one that has a longer toggle that stops halve way one way and also doesn't click. Not saying that this is the case with this toggle. I'm just saying that there are toggles that don't click.
Good luck.
Mine clicks. it is firm, but smooth to turn and has soft clicks, softer than a fatboy anyway.
