What's new

Eskine Nylon.

So I bought a lot with an eskine Nylon in it planning to drop a TGN knot into the handle. It gets here and the knot is mint, what the hell I figure. I'll give it a try. I start lathering up some williams to clean it, and it beats the hell out of that williams. Thick creamy lather with no effort. It felt pretty scrubby in my hand, like a new boar, but damn can this thing lather.

I found the exact same one a while back...fully expecting to reknot it, but for almost the same reasons have been unable to chop the nylon out...

Well, one more nylon bristle brush that was going to be "badgered" here. A Rubberset 400N. But, you got my curiosity up, and will try it. Thanks...

Mine seemed a bit floppy...but it did work well enough to save it from an immediate buzz cut.

The monofilament ends are a bit sharp and pokey...

I am quite sure this handle would get way more use for me loaded with an 18mm finest, but still something holds me back from doing a restore on it.

I was really taken with the dark cherry top on this one. Whenever I see it sitting on the windowsill I think I should drop some badger in it...then I pick it up, flex the nylon, and think...this is still pretty interesting...maybe wait a week and see what I think then.

I know it would be in my weekly rotation if restored....rather than one waiting in the wings...so I think I will order an 18mm Finest at least.
