I'm sure this might have been suggested before, but I found this nifty little electric kettle at Target today with a variable temperature setting. I paid about $13, and at its lowest temperature setting it's feels like a good temperature for a hot towel, scuttle, brush, etc. Just hot enough that I can stand holding my hand in it. It's made by Sunbeam... I took a picture of the box.
