EJ DE89L vs Feather AS

My first razor was the EJ and RAD hit hard shortly after I got it. One of my other earlier purchases was the Feather AS.

I took a brief injector break and also tried out some vintage razors with different blades, different creams/soaps, etc.

I really like my Schick E2 and I also really like my Feather AS with a Feather blade.

I'm going to keep everything else the same tomorrow morning except for the razor; I'm going to try out the EJ and see how it goes.

In my earlier days of wet shaving I got some pretty bad razor burn on my neck with it. I think all aspects of my routine have improved so it will be interesting to see how this turns out for me tomorrow.

Good luck with the results, these are two excellent razors. I've been going back and forth between the Feather and the Muehle R106 (same head as the EJ) and I think they give similar, outstanding shaves.

Well, I had a good shave this morning but not great. I avoided getting anything more than a touch of razor burn but didn't get as close as I like on the neck. When I compare the gap on my EJ with my FAS it just looks more aggressive.

I'll shave a couple more days with the same blade because sometimes the Feather needs a bit of breaking in.
