Edwin Jagger handles

I got an Edwin Jagger DE87 about a month ago and am pretty happy with it. One thing I don't like so much is that the smooth handle sometimes feels a little slippery during some maneuvers and I feel I might be better off with some kind of a textured grip. Does anyone sell replacement handles such as the one used on the DE89L? I've been hunting around the net and have not found anything so far.

A related question - does anyone sell a kit of parts to be used for turning your own handle? I know that Penn State Industries has a lot of razor kits in their catalog, but they all seem to be of the cartridge type.

Weber is a great choice for handles. If you can manage to let a Weber slip out of your fingers, you're doing something VERY wrong!

++1 on the BullDog handle. The weight and feel of the handle will turn the 89 into a beast! Place a WTB thread first. There is always a different opinion & 'YMMMV' type that might be willing to sell you one off the forum.

You could just simply rub alum on you fingers to prevent slipping or buy a Weber Bulldog handle! The Weber will cost you just a bit more than a replacement handle if you can find them on the BST. Good luck.

I, too, appreciate handles with real "grip."

My recommendation is to post a WTB for a Weber or Ikon handle. Both show up regularly on BST.
As for a kit. I never seen such.
I do have a "Jackson" handle that ws turned by a local semi-retired machinist. Finding someone in your neighborhood might be an option.

The EJ heads are fine performers. Paired with a different handle, you'll have a fine shaver.
