Edwin Jagger DE89 Question

I have used a Merkur HD (sold it-too aggressive), and I now use either a 1940's Superspeed, 1950's flair tip Superspeed, or a Tech. I typically use IP red pack blades and occasionally use Gillette 7 O'clock yellow pack blades.

How does the DE89 compare to all of the above, especially regarding aggressiveness?

I've got the EJ DE86 with the new Muhle head and I find it to be just slightly less aggressive than the HD.

You may find that it compeares most closesly to your 40's SS.

I'm hoping it will be a smoother shave than the HD.
