Easy access storage

I didn't see a forum area dedicated to dens, so if I missed something and this needs to be moved- I apologise in advance.

I live in a great modern loft. I love where I live, really. But the master bathroom is still an apartmentesque setup- one small sink/toilet/shower with storage under the sink only. The sink area is kind of full. But I could probably, with minimal tears, get half of it emptied out.

So for those of you who have small areas only - do you have a suggestion for easy access storage that would go under a sink, or on top of a toilet- which does not require modifying the wall with nails, screws or a cabinet?

I am in the process of building a mirror enclosed by 1x3 clear pine (matches my shaker cabinets), it will have a 1x4 shelf at the base of the mirror that extends past the width of the mirror. A second shelf will be below that.

My thoughts are I can stack my soaps on the lower shelf, xtra thing of blades. Top shelf is brushes and maybe some AS.

There is a really good Shave Den (and long) thread around here somewhere.

I was going to suggest something like what Mako72 suggested. You can get over-the-toilet cabinets in various styles and with more shelves, both open and closed with doors or sliders. You can get free-standing cabinets of various heights and sizes, if you have room for a separate piece of furniture in your bathroom. Just go to Amazon.com and do a search on bathroom storage cabinets.

We already have a standing shelf unit with three shelves and a hamper underneath. I bought a set of plastic drawers to hold my husband's shaving gear. It sits on the top shelf of our hamper unit. Not beautiful, but it works for now.
