Durham Duplex SE razor

Here's a great British single edged razor -- not unlike the famous and modern Cobra Classic. This lovely razor is in like new condition and is waiting to be tested. I like it's light weight and smooth curves. Not as common as the semi-straights Durham also made. Have you tried one of these -- without the carpet cutting blades? Any comments from satisfied users?

unused box of blades so I'll be able to try this interesting design -- see how it shaves comapred to the more conventional SE razors.

Prett razor & it's nice to have the complete set.

Yesterday I found a Durham Dorset in the wild also with a full box of blades and one in the razor still wrapped in paper. The thrift store clerk only asked $12.50 for it nib. I might try it soon too. I did a thread search on this forum for references to get blades for these interesting razors, and from what I read I guess Personna makes a blade for a pathology knife that fits these razors. They seem to be hard to get though. I started a thread on the Safety razor blades part of this forum yesterday, but haven't seen the replys about these blades yet.

This one looks alot like The Dehaven Razors i Have, This could be its Cousin ?

So, has anyone tried these beautiful razors? Has me interested, but I'm not a fan of proprietary blades or rigging up something to work. Might just need to pick one up just for the sake of having one. I see plainer versions than the fancy handled ones pictured here.

Hello all, I still haven't tried mine, although I would like to, I don't want to use up my limited supply of blades. The OP said his is an SE, but mine is a DE. Also, mine is in a cardboard box, not a clamshell case. I thought all the Durham Duplex series razors were DE, but I must be wrong. By the way InfernoOrangeSS, neat avitar, I have some Ever Ready blades that came with a WWI Ever Ready Army razor that have your avitar on the blades, very cool looking. Have a good day.

Thank you very much!!
From what I have gathered, these appear to me to be DE razors as well. Anyone with knowledge that can shine some light on this?
