Duke 1 v. Special v. Case v. Chubby 1 - all in Best

The only one of these brushes I currently have tried is the Duke 1. I think the knot/loft ratio is slightly off for me. The Best is not as stiff as I'd like and the brush has bloomed a little too large. I would like something a little firmer, which means bigger knot or shorter loft. On the shorter loft side there is the Special and the Case. On the bigger knot size, there is the Chubby 1.

Measurements are inconsistent for the Chubby knot, anywhere from 23-26mm, and for the Duke between 19 and 21mm. Obviously the Chubby is also significantly more expensive than the other two.

Or, heck, since I'm already considering a Chubby, anyone care to compare the Chubby 1 super or two-band super with the others?

I recently posted about this. I have not tried any of those brushes, but did a lot of research and emailed a couple of sellers. "theshavingcompany" sent me multiple emails, and told me that the Case is their best seller; he said that if you are looking for a brush without a lot of bloom or splay that has a dense knot, the Case is a good option. The other good option would be the Duke.

not a bad idea; especially as I have never actually tried any of these brushes!! I will be ordering the Case pretty quick here, so send me a message and I will let you know what I think of it!

I would really appreciate pics of the brush once it has bloomed. The Duke had good softness and backbone but just got a little too big for me. I have a small face and I like smaller brushes to face lather with. The Duke is realllly close but doesn't quite fit the bill.
