When I bought it, I thought there must be a top cap missing, but the Compendium doesn't show one and nothing I could scare up on the web showed a top cap. So I slipped a blade on and I got to say, if it was the last razor on the planet - maybe, but probably not. Maybe some thicker, DE blade existed?

These are Similar to the Ratio razor: which requires a special thick curved double edge blade that has two square holes and two center oval dimple , the blade holes lock under the tabs on the guard similar to Durham Duplex.
