What's new

Dropped my Tabac in the toilet (unintentionally)

My shaving stuff is in an open cupboard right to the sink, the toilet is left.

When I put something back, my stick of Tabac fell in the (dry) sink and bounced into the toilet.

Aaaaaah. I am not a complete germafobe but I do not like reaching into the toilet. I did take it out of course but I disposed of the soap immediately (even though it still had about 80% and seemed to be dry).

I gave the holder a good cleaning and will get a refil. (one of the few products I think I will always have)

So glad it was not a brush....

Anyone else dropped their gear in the toilet?

Did it improve the scent?

Seriously, I like Tabac, but I always make sure the lid is down, given that all of my gear is stored above the bowl.

Sounds like you need to get another tabac...and maybe a couple backups just in case you try to create a new Tabac eau de toilette scent again :p

My den is right above the toilet, so I make sure before I do anything I put the lid down. I almost dropped a brush in thier once but my quick action (took a panic swipe at it as it fell and knocked in clean into the bedroom) saved it. After that, the lid is always down. Which is a good thing as I dropped my Gillette Redtip one day and luckly it just bounced off onto the floor. No damage and used it that day. Even when I'm just "brush sniffing" I put the seat cover down....
Better safe than sorry I always say...:biggrin1:

Unfortunately there is no lid, just need to be careful or only mess with my stuff when someone is on it. (don't think Tabac will beat that :crying:)

Maybe the Tabac was homesick.

That's cold!

This gave me flashbacks to that Seinfeld episode where he dropped his girlfriend's toothbrush in the toilet.....

Some may say you inadvertently created a Tabac-Veg hybrid in terms of scent - could have made an interesting soap had you allowed it to rest without rinsing!

ouch

Did anyone think for a second that this wouldn't be an epic thread?

Well, since I was young, and had something fall in a toilet (can't remember what) I've become paranoid about it and have a house rule: the cover goes down EVERYTIME.

I hate, simply hate going in a bathroom that the cover is up.

The family has adopted it and it's not an issue. I tell them, better safe than sorry, the last thing you want to be doing is having to fetch something that fell in it by accident. They agree.
