Dremel bit for polishing fatboy

Has anyone used a Dremel tool for polishing a fatboy 1959 and 1960? If so, what bit did you use? I also have a little bit of discoloration inside the doors. Any tips on the best way to get at that? So far, I've done the hot water soak and scrubbing bubbles with a toothbrush. It looks like I may need a bit more than just a toothbrush though. Thoughts?

Thanks in advance.

Maas and a cut up old t-shirt. Maas and cotton swabs for the tight areas. You don't want to go too crazy with high speed polishing wheels because you can hit base metal quickly, and there's no going back once you do.

True, it has a lite plating that can come off even with excessive hand polishing let alone a machine with high speed buffing.

The only thing I will use a Dremel polisher on is something I know to be solid metal, unplated so there is nothing to polish off.

I used some rubber discs on a Dremel, but only on a stainless steel handle and it look amazing. I dunno how it's gonna be in plating like nickel, but i think it's gonna destroy it pretty soon. Anyway try it around 2k rpm and feather touch and make a single pass. no more.

Keep us posted.

I have used a felt wheel on nickel plated razors before, with some Maas and an extremely light touch and a low speed. It has always turned out fine, but as always YMMV. Definitely stay away from gold or silverlated ones though!

Ok, I will stay away from the Dremel for polishing and just hand polish it. Thanks for the advice everyone.
