This is the first I've ever seen this. When I took the lid off the bowl there were little soap shavings in there along with the puck. Why do they do this?

Don't know. But Dr. Dittmar/Gold Dachs has always done that. You can either press them to the bottom of the bowl and place the soap puck on top of them or maybe transfer the shavings to another container for a travel soap?

Huh, I bought a tin of Gold Dachs since it was on sale at Royalshave, but haven't got it yet. Guess I know what to expect when that package comes in a few days. Interesting. I just didn't know if there was a common sense reason..... like their pucks are not uniform so they add the shavings to get the weight just so.... I think it's kind of cool.... I just wonder why they do it?
