Dorco SS SE DN52 blades?

I was checking out Darks Blade Supply and observed that he is selling Dorco DN 52 SS SE blades for $12.99 per 100, with free shipping.

Have any of you GEM or Ever-Ready SE users tried these blades yet? Thats about 1/2 the cost of the Ted Pella blades. Are they a coated blade?

I have about 190 of the TED Pella blades left from my bulk purchase. I use the Pella's in my GEM 1912 and Ever-Ready 1912 and I am happy with them. Just wondering?

HoosierTrooper, Thanks for the additional information, however it still does not answer the question. Has someone that uses a SE on a regular basis and knows the requirements of SE shaving used the Dorco blades. If they have, what do they think? Do the Dorco blades do the job? Are they worth trying by us SE shavers or are they a waste of money? I like the Dorco ST301 DE blades in my DE razors and they generally give me three adequate shaves.

I happen to stumble here on the razors post, this questions should be posted in the blades section. ;)

As for the Dorco Single Edge Blades. As far as I know there are mix reviews on this. I have tried it myself and it is not that great. Compared to the Gems! I am not an experienced shaver with Gems, so based on my findings i wouldn't use again. Though I did get a close free irritation, but did get tugging.

I believe this are not coated, so if you want to shave I heard they have to be coated. My advise would be to stick it out with the St301. If you want better quality, try the Gems ;).

Hope this answer you question,

Iamdarkangel, You misunderstood about the ST301 that I use for my DE razors. I was speculating/hopeing that the Dorco SE blades sold by you were the equal of the ST301's

If they (DN52 SE) are not the equal of, or a little better then ST301 DE , then why waste our money buying the Dorco SE's.

The DN52 are ok, but not equal to the St301. I think they are equal to the ST300.

I suggested to stay with the ST301's as they are better.
