dollar a/s-- macho green

i noticed this a/s in the dollar tree,it is in a green bottle much like brut.which almost had me pass it over.but i gave it a sniff--nothing like brut.peppery.so i grabbed a bottle.
the bottle is a clear green brut type clone without a dispenser cap.just a wide open bottle neck,so be careful.the a/s has some burn , a little moisturising(less than it's stablemate artic blue) and a quick drydown of the scent.which becomes almost unnoticable after an hour or two.you would have to get within an inch of the skin to smell it after that time period, and it would be faint even then.
as for the scent.it is peppery and medicinal smelling.black pepper,i think sage and something else.an odd combination but appealing.my wife okayed it for wear.
i think add a little glycerin and mix it with bayrum or lime or even old spice/ivory club and see what develops.at a buck for 8 oz/235 ml you could make quite a few custom scents.

Funny, I was just at Dollar Tree a few minutes ago buying some other items. I noticed the Macho splash and took a sniff. To me it was nearly identical to Brut but I don't normally use Brut so my memory may be way off. I did pick up a large canister of talcum powder generically labeled "body powder". It has a hefty menthol scent to it which may put me off of it. I am iffy with menthol. And yes, I noticed ginormous opening which leads me to think you would use ten times as much as needed if not careful.

Regards, Todd

i saw some as well at my local 99 cent store, is it the same AS as the family dollar ivy club brut clone?

the macho a/s(the artic blue also) is made by blue cross labs of santa clarita ,california.the ivy club stuff is made by vi-jon of st.louis ,missouri.
as i said earlier the macho is a peppery-sage scent.the ivy club brut clone is "brutish" lol but not as sweet as brut.IMO.

I've tried both of those and I too was quite surprised. I think I'll get more. Did you see the Old Spice type on the shelf as well? We have it up here.

we don't have the spice clone at our dollar tree.how is it?compared to old spice or ivy club?
but i mixed the macho with pinaud lime musk and added a few peppercorns and a little glycerin to a 6 oz bottle.my own version of lime peppercorn a/s.it is really good and subtle.
this stuff is so cheap you can experiment with different mixes.if a mix turns out bad you have lost only cents.
