Do you take apart your razor to clean it after every shave?

As the title says, do you take apart your razor after every shave to clean any crud build up that might be there?
I noticed sometimes in my AC type razors that crud will remain even after a good rinsing.

Nope. Rinsing and changing the blade twice a week seems to work just fine for me.
My razor is a Henson and I use shaving soap or cremo most of the time.

Not a frequent, strip, clean, and detail. Rinsing with good stream of water is like an easy solution.

I might find myself in the minority here, but that’s ok. I use two razors every shave because I have a dedicated razor for around my nose. This frees me up to be less concerned about how close another razor gets around my nose. It lets me enjoy razors that might be less than perfect in that regard but oh, so excellent for everything else.

All that to say: I take apart and clean two razors every shave. I’m retired so take that into consideration.

Rinse, loosen, let dry. Change the blade after every third or fourth use. Once in a while, I take it apart and clean with a soft toothbrush, if needed.

I rinse the razor, take it apart and dry it, as well as patting the blade dry: then reassemble everything and leave it in the stand. Once a week I give the razor a quick alcohol shower and leave it unassembled to dry before it goes back in the stand.

If I clean it, it's when the blade gets changed. But even then, I may only do it every 5 blade changes, if I noticed gunk or buildup.

I rinse and dry my razors after each use. But it’s more of a practicality, than anything OCD.

Collecting/using vintage razors is my main enjoyment in this hobby, so I have about 18 or so razors in my regular rotation, and I try to only have 2 or 3 blades open at any given time.

So taking razors apart to remove the blade is a necessity; and while they’re apart, it just makes sense to take care of them. (And we have VERY hard water, so I have to dry them well).

No, I used to clean it weekly, that went out the window a while back too. They get "rinse" and "dried" and they can just say thank you I did not toss them back in the drawer as is.

My 3 piece razors yes, my TTO razors no.... Just a rinse with clear water , toilet paper dry and buff. Every 5-6 weeks a toothbrush and Scrubbling Bubbles to restore the shine and eliminate any soap residue . Any rough spots I use Bon Ami or Barkeepers Friend .

I clean and dry everything and give it a light buff with a micro fibre towel to wipe off my fingerprints… let it dry overnight and then assemble it with the blade and it goes into storage… it is part of the ritual for me…
