Did Anyone Here Sharpen This Thing?

Wow, that is very sharp. Impressive.

Chips are used for mulch. These giant chips have a variety of uses. They make nice wallpaper if you overlap them a little. The thicker ones can be molded into a nice winter snow sled for the kiddies. If you're handy with a knife you can whittle silhouettes in them and hang them in front of a window. If they dry fairly flat they can be used for fresbees. And that just scratches the surface of the possibilities.
Palm tree isn't "wood" like most trees as I understand it. It's more like an extra-sturdy vine... so when fresh it's gonna be much much much easier to cut than cross grain wood. Doesn't surprise me that with the amount of force in play it slices like potato.

Most lumber guys say that palm "wood" is really just big grass.
