What's new

Diamine / CS ink

Gents,

Just got the Conway Stewart newsletter announcing the new inks.
It is a cooperation with Diamine.

Colors and packaging look good I think.

How's the verdict on Diamine ink?
I am not familiar with the brand, so I am curious to learn.

Thanks for the heads up, hopefully it works as well as their old stuff, which was pretty hard to find here in the US. It was another rebranded ink -- loved it.

Diamine tends to bleed and feather too much for my liking -- although I use wet writing pens -- and seems kind of watery (excepting the Registrar's ink).

I have defaulted to Diamine after trying various types: Noodler's, MB, Herbin, Private Reserve, Lamy, Rubinato (good), Parker, Pelikan, etc. Works great in my MB, Pelikan and Visconti pens, with varying nib sizes, on Rhodia paper. And the colour choices are excellent as well. Fountain Pen Network has a great index of ink reviews, covering just about every ink in existence: http://www.fountainpennetwork.com/forum/index.php?/topic/160612-index-of-ink-reviews/

cheers

Doug is that Delta ink that was making that round of conway stewart?

I think the old CS ink I showed was possibly made by Pelikan, the bottle has similarities on the bottom. Although it clearly states Made in England. Not sure about the Delta inks.

Doug--what do you think about the Akkerman ink being made by Diamine. Possible?

I've also heard that rumor over at FPN but there are subtle shade differences so it's definitely not just a different bottle. I would think that someone must make it for them, they are a small company -- hopefully a Dutch company.
