Derbys & Spanish Eyes!

Was in a neighborhood of Boston today known as Jamaica Plains. It is a residential part of the city that is made up for the most part of Bohemian types and Spanish residents.

Anyway, I went into a Hispanic run Beauty Supply store to check out if they had wet-shaving supplies. The selection was limited to blades and aftershaves. The two Latin Ladies behind the counter were helpful and showed me the blade selection. What caught my attention was they had Derbys in a box of 100.

They asked me if I was a barber which I replied in a not to convincing way, "Ah yea". Laughing at me:lol:they said they would sell them to me for an out the door price of $10. So I picked up 100 to add to my post-nuclear-war blade supply.

I think I'll be going back for more.

Did I mentioned they were smoking hot?
The ladies that is!:w00t:

Mmm, they asked if you were a barber? May be they need a shave, if the word "brazilian" happen to be part of the conversation, it may be your lucky day, my friend...(unless is "Nelsinho, my Brazilian boyfriend, who is a boxer...")

Those are the real DE blades, not 100 of the half blades? I know Derby sells them already cut in half for use in shavette type razors for barbers.

Do they offer DE shaving supplies at places like Sally's?

Not a whole lot of shaving stuff at the Sally's near me. Large bottles of Clubman and Masters Bay Rum, a few shavettes and a selection of feathering blades and a couple of mangy looking brushes. If you pass by one, go ahead and take a look, but don't go out of your way. Then again, different regions may stock more items.

Enjoy Coronado for me, San Diego was a lovely area last time I was there.

Chief,

The Sally's that are in my location are small and don't have much of a wet-shaving selection.

This store had just DE blades and aftershave.

For example: Derbys / Dorco / Wilkinsons / Astra
Lucky Tiger / Clubman

That about it.

But the prices were very reasonable and even better when they give you the barber discount.

Will you behave yourself!!!:001_rolle

I will swing by one just to see, but I had the feeling they wouldn't have much.

I will enjoy Coronado for you, I have been enjoying it for the last 3.5 years, and looking to enjoy it for at least 2 more!
