Looking forward to using some boars I bought from Connaught. A few Omegas and a few Semogues, also a few from Zenith from YourShaving and the GentleShave guy that does a few unique ones only available through him like the Copper Scrubby, and the other ones with shorter loft (Short and Scrubby - my favorite under $20 high quality boar) that I'm looking forward to busting out.

Anyways, despite me storing it upside down and scrubbing a towel, I can't seem to get the base of the knot to dry.

Ie I place my fingerbin the middle of the brush, and it feels damp.

Ie I place my fingerbin the middle of the brush, and it feels damp.

Anyone have tips or experience with this?

My Omega Proraso takes forever and a day to dry. Leaving it out in different rooms doesn't help, it's still damp the next evening.

I find it funny how many of us that own more than a few brushes have to find time to use our boars. I am as guilty as anyone here and really enjoy using boars exclusively for the month of DecemBOAR.

I really don’t know why I don’t reach for my boars as often as badgers as I enjoy using both.

Here is my soc being washed and readied:

I'll take a group shot when they are all done. Just hand lathering the three brushes and I can tell right away the soc is the softest, but then its also my eldest brush/most used/broken in. Love it.

Heck kinda tempted to just start shaving with the boars on my next shave.

Boars do need a little more time than a synth to soak. So if time is short my boars get overlooked. Not sure if they need more or less time than a badger.

Not long after I showed up here on March 1st this year, I started learning about brushes. One thread lead to another and I ended up reading the whole 2021 DecemBOAR month thread. As a result of that thread and several others, I ended up buying 8 boar brushes. I did several weeks of wet/dry cycles to get them semi-broken in for this year's DecemBOAR's festivities. I've been looking forward to this... such anticipation.
