So tonight my wife was sitting on my lap and she says, "You smell nice." To which I replied, thank you. Then she asks, "What is it?"

I replied .....

and she said, "Chickens Beak!?"



I really enjoy the staying power of #88!

What more could you need from a cologne? #88 is appreciated by the LOTH and its good for a laugh!

I have to agree, the staying power of #88 is the most impressive amongst the colognes I've tried so far. Even the next morning I could still catch whiffs of it.

I just received the samples of C&S and #88 is the only scent I would consider buying.
How one wants to smell like a pure lavender EO like O&C is beyond me though.

I won't buy the cologne yet (it is probably a scent which has to grow on me) but the two SS refills will be acquired next month.

When I first sniffed the O&C i didn't like it but thought I should give it a chance anyway. It barely lasted 2 hours on my skin so that's probably out.

#88 is one of my favs. I enjoy it's complexity and each phase as it develops throughout the day, as well as it's tremendous staying power, and now I'll also enjoy a chuckle every time I put it on. Thanks Rob!

It takes a really long time. I requested samples and did not hear from them for several months. I eventually received an email that they were out of stock and would send them to me when they were in stock. I received them 3 months later, so it took about 6-7 months for me to receive my cologne samples.

Hmmm... that is weird. I received mine within a week of asking them for it. Maybe it was just bad timing?

My understanding is that they were having some customer service issues that have been resolved. A few months ago I got samples within a week of requesting them, and also received prompt e-mail responses to a question I had.

Definately YMMV...O&C is a great lavender fragrance!! IMO, only second to SMN Imperial Lavender.

You could say the same of lime and I like lime so you are right.

Perhaps I'm just biased because living just North of France, we have a lot of lavender household products going from laundry products, to cleaning products, soaps, toilet refreshers, you name it. It is just a too common scent around the house here to wear it as a cologne as well. But that is just my biased opinion.
Although I like lavender as a subtle note in perfume as long it is not overpowering.

As to O&C, the shaving soap is on my wish list for next month because the scent is indeed a good lavender scent and I'm certain it will be one of my favorite soaps during summer.
But again, for me it is odd to wear it as a cologne as well.

Hey! I'm wearing it right now.

Doesn't smell like pure lavender EO to me; I get a lot of peppermint in it.

I think it smells good.

On the other hand, I don't see why anybody would want to smell like a rose!

I've been reading about this mysterious No. 88 and this thread is the first I'd heard of samples (though I'd been to the site a time or two . . . odd).

I guess now I get to find out for myself!
