Cyril R Salter Shaving Soap - Anyone used it?

Well, I put in an order for some T&H Luxury Shaving Soap at the traditional shaving co., and while I was at it I decided to throw in the Cyril R Salter Shaving Soap since it is so cheap. I have seen the Salter soap at a few sites recently, but have never read a review or a comment on it.

Anyone have any opinions on this soap?

I am actually really curious to see how similar these 2 soaps are going to be since they both have a mild lavender scent.

Thanks for any info.

I haven't tried it. Is it tallow, plant or glycerin based?

I just wanted to give a big thumbs up for the traditional shaving co (http://www.traditionalshaving.co.uk/)! I recieved my package all the way from the UK and to my doorstep in Missouri in less than a week! That is crazy fast.

I used the T&H Luxury Shave Soap and I really like it, very easy to lather and provides great cushion.
I haven't used the Cyril Salter Shaving Soap, but it smells exactly the same as the T&H, looks exactly like T&H, and has no box, it only comes wrapped in wax paper (T&H is wrapped exactly the same in wax paper, but just has a box). So, I will not say they are the exact same; I will let you all draw your own conclusions.

Thanks,
J.

I have the Salter Wild Rose cream, if case that helps. I doubt that it helps evaluate the soaps, so I should probably stay quiet! I like it a lot. I agree with the B&B reviews.

I have a Cyril R Salter soap that I am yet to try, however the T&H soap is a rebadged Culmak (Est 1805) according to sources

And apparently the Vintage Blades is repackaged T&H too, so it seems this soap is sold for all kinds of brands.
Seems to be good stuff though.
