Curious about cream tubs!

I had a random thought the other day about the tubs used but TOBS, GFT and others and i was curious if anyone happens to know how they ended up with the same design of container(despite different sizes)?

The two you mention and most other big house British creams are all made of a cream base from a company named Creighton.

Perhaps this commonality in origin has something to do with the tubs as well.
