TGN 25mm Black Badger...just set her in. After a lot of feedback (thanks again guys) I decided to leave the handle as is. I think it turned out great. I'll let you know how it works out.

Did you fill the cracks with anything? The handle has so much character almost makes you want to crack one!!!
I think the cracked handle is soooo retro. I like it.

Thanks guys...nope, didn't treat it at all (other than clean and finish the interior). It's actually structurally pretty sound. Based on what I've read, catalin or bakelite gets cracks like that when exposed to fairly extreme temperature/climate changes. I'm a cold water shaver, so I think I'm good there. My guess is that it will survive intact for quite some time. None of the cracks go all the way through, so we shall see.

Maybe "Culmak Black Brush" should be changed to "Culmak Zombie Brush".

Hmmm...PRIIIIIICCCKKKLLLYYY! I'm only two shaves into it, so I'm hoping it breaks down a bit more. I don't mind it really, just different. I love the size, so it makes a great lather.
I don't know that badger will break in like boar, but we'll see.
Lovely brush. Black badger is my favorite and they do get less prickly with use but will always be a bit prickly.
