Credit Card Test for a Clean Shave

I have this vague recollection of a TV commercial 20 or 30 years ago in which a credit card was used to test the closeness of a shave by holding the card more or less perpendicular to the face and scraping the edge of the card along the cheek against the grain. The idea was that if it didn't make much noise, it was a close shave. I think it was an ad for Remington electric shavers, but I'm not sure. Anyone else remember that?

I was hoping for something along the lines as an increase in my line of credit as a reward for close shaving.:biggrin1:

Oh my, I remember those commercials...

How about the line "So you can press harder when you shave..." yikes... proof positive that mass marketing and modern products taught and encouraged bad shaving habits...

Hahaha!...when I was a teen..I liked the clean shaved feeling before going to synagogue..an older Iranian guy went up n down the sides of my face with his credit card to make sure I shaved near perfection..had an older Israeli friend use a piece of folded paper...wow..random memories...
