I have this vague recollection of a TV commercial 20 or 30 years ago in which a credit card was used to test the closeness of a shave by holding the card more or less perpendicular to the face and scraping the edge of the card along the cheek against the grain. The idea was that if it didn't make much noise, it was a close shave. I think it was an ad for Remington electric shavers, but I'm not sure. Anyone else remember that?

I was hoping for something along the lines as an increase in my line of credit as a reward for close shaving.

Yeah, I tried that this morning but my face declined the card...
Hahaha!...when I was a teen..I liked the clean shaved feeling before going to synagogue..an older Iranian guy went up n down the sides of my face with his credit card to make sure I shaved near perfection..had an older Israeli friend use a piece of folded paper...wow..random memories...
Holy crow, I'd completely forgotten about that commercial!
Boy, that sure makes us quite old. Hee hee.
