Cream: Kansas City

I purchased this at the menessentials storefront in Toronto a few weeks back while I was passing through the city on military business.

I purchased the "gold" which is supposedly "washed suede, cut crass, cinnamon, oat and grapefruit scent. It almost smells sour.

There is nothing positive I can say about this product other than I like the tin it comes in but dislike the small size of tin they chose. It's gooey consistency is a bother to load the brush with and the scent is less than appealing.

Lather from the product, no matter how much or little product/water I use is airy, thin, and disappears in a matter of seconds.

I used a ton of of product and tried again. Lather was foamy rather than yogurty. Terrible stuff.

Sorry to hear about this. It's quite possible you got a bad tin (which I've seen references to in other places) as we have many other customers who've bought Cream and rave about the performance. Contact us directly and we'll ship you a replacement to see if you just happened to get a bum one.

Thanks, just took a closer look at the label. Never heard of this cream before though.

I had this cream for a while and got good results out of it. I ended up pif'ing it, not because I didn't like but I didn't use it enough and it thought it would have a shorter shelf life due to the all natural ingredients. It's also known as Local Pig cream (Local Pig is the store in KC that makes it), here's another thread about it:

Perhaps the sour smell is a result of a bad tin?

Not sure, I had the milk & honey scent. It was nice and mild.
