I keep hearing fellow members say that they are restoring their brushes. This sounds most intriguing to me. Where do you find replacement Badger hair for this kind of under taking? Are all grades of the hair available? What is the process start to finish? What material works best? Does the micro attention given to a handmade brush yield a better brush than an assembly line offering? If your heads not smoking yet I would love to see examples of homemade brushes and restorations. This has probably been done to death but how about posting your proudest restoration or fabrication accomplishment and give details of the process and resources that went in to it.
