Cool FREE score!

Check this out! I was doing a job at one of the places I provide services to. They were out of a supply item I needed so I started poking around to see if I couldn't find something to fill the gap for now. In one cupboard I ran across this:

An Old Spice shave mug, a Schick injector razor, and a Gillette adjustable razor!

I pulled them out and set them on the counter. When the business owner came in to chat, I showed him what I found and asked if I could have them. (They must have had 30 years of dust and grime on them.) He looked at me like I was nuts and said "knock yourself out!"

Here's a pic of the Gillette. Is this a Fatboy?

Here's the marking underneath. (E 4)

Anyway, I'm unfamiliar with these razors (I only have a Merkur 34 C) so any info would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Greg

Nice Fatboy and L model Schick Injector. That Old Spice mug's nice too. Hey don't worry about the funny look you got, I get it all the time from people when they find out that I collect old razors.

I tried my "new" Fatboy out this morning. I set it at 3 and put a new Crystal blade in. Wow, what a nice, mild shaver! Things were going swimmingly until all of the sudden, the mildness turned into WHOA! aggressiveness. I guess I didn't tighten the bottom knob enough. Oops! A quick twist of the knob had us back in business.

Aside from that minor setback, I can see why these are sought after razors. While it doesn't feel as rock solid as my 34C, it sure does shave nicely. Being able to fine-tune the aggressiveness is a nice feature to have.
