Cologne Similar to T&H

I'm a huge fan of T&H's colognes (anything from their Freshman, to their 1805, Trafalgar, Sandalwood, etc. etc.), but I have a major issue with them only lasting about 39 seconds. Anyone have some recommendations that have similar base notes as the T&H colognes?

I have the same issue with T&H scents (no longevity). Very nice scents though.

The longest lasting sandalwood I have found is Caswell-Massey sandalwood.

I have not compared any of the other T&H colognes to others I have. I probably should :001_smile

Creed Green Irish Tweed is similar to Freshman. Spanish Leather is the best T&H scent IMO and lasts very long on me. It's the only T&H cologne that I have a full bottle of.

Depends on which you like. Most if not all are cloned designer scents.

1805= L'eau d'Issey
Freshman = Cool Water
Clubman= Polo Sport
Spanish Leather = Davidoff Zino
Grafton is reminiscent of one of the aromatics, but I forget which. Maybe it was Tsar by VC&A?

Interesting. I ran the following 'unscientific' experiment with T&H Freshman cologne (from 'fresh' factory carded sample vial) and Creed GIT (also from 'fresh' factory carded sample vial)
Two similar dabs of each onto bond parchment cards.
After 6 hours, roughly the same residual scent strength to my nose for each....if anything, the T&H maybe was a tad stronger, certainly no fainter.
But run your own test and let us know!

I was looking for a leather scent, but apparently the new Zino is nothing like the old one :s

It's really not that different from the vintage IMO. Yes, it's been reformulated, but still very much in tact and well worthy of the price it can be had for. The reformulation jitter is a bit hyped up on this one.

That said, it's not really a leather frag to my nose. I could speak volumes on the subject of leather frags.
