Choose my next shaving soap!

Hi everyone!

I'm about out of my tub of TOBS Rose cream and am looking to switch to a soap. I've already tried Col. Conks Amber (admittedly back when I didn't know what I was doing...), so would like something different. I've scoured the forums and reviews and narrowed it down to 4 likely candidates.

Whichever one receives the most votes will become my next shaving soap.

I'm only listing brands because I will decide the scent for myself once I settle on a brand.

I have Tabac, and multiple MB and HBS soaps. My vote goes to Honeybee Spa. The scents aren't as dramatic as with the MB soaps, but I find the lathering and moisturizing properties to be superior to them all. You can get a sampler of six soaps for $22, before shipping. Unbelievable deal.

All are good choices, but Tabac is, well, Tabac. It is one of the great pleasures of wet shaving.

I'd go Tabac. Pen's is in the midst of a reformulation, and are pretty much out of stock (and no one knows how the new version will be). Mama Bear soaps are awesome, but you already tried a glycerin soap. I never tried Honeybee so I can't comment on that.

Tabac is a tallow based triple milled soap, making it different than what you have tried hitherto. Also, the scent is the closest thing to heaven, and the shave is easy as pie. Plus the price is right. As Sir Mix-a-lot might say, "Baby got Tabac."

Honeybee Soaps are some of my favorites, they have a bit more "slip" than a lot of other soaps. That said, I vote for Tabac. It's one of the only soaps you MUST have.

If you can find Penhaligon's ... get it! Unfortunatley, there's almost none for sale anywhere, as Pen's is in the process of reformulating. I cannot say if the reformulation (supposedly coming out within a month) will be any good ... time will tell.
