Changing creams mid stream

Hello all.I was just wondering if there is a problem say changing shave creams in between passes? Although I haven't done this and I don'treally see a problem, I just wanted to get some thoughts on this.

I've done this when the cream I started with proved intolerable.

If you don't mind the extra time or the wasted product, I don't see why not.

Not necessarily changing, but definitely adding a different cream. I've had a couple that didn't provide the performance I desired (slickness, disappearing lather, scent, etc.), so I have occasionally added a bit of a different cream before the next pass. For instance, Kolynos (Greek cream in tube) sucks by itself, but seems to make almost every other "adequate/mediocre" cream I have much, much better.

I've added a pump of like KMF or splurt of AoS unscented into the lather bowl and worked it into the lather between passes if the cream/soap I was using wasn't performing up to the task, but I've never fully replaced the lather with a new one between passes. No lather is beyond fixing. It's always either add water, add product, and/or work it a bit more. And yes, "splurt" is the official proper measurement of the amount of cream from a tube you need to fix a poor lather in your bowl.

Other than the brain cancer and whatnot, you should be OK.

I don't see any problem with it. I assume you will burn through more cream but that is about it.
