Gave in and bought an overpriced ($35) 1954 Tech from eBay. Dammit, wasn't going to buy anymore razors for a while. 1 more that I may buy is the Overlander. No more after that. Hope the Tech is worth the hype. We shall see... this one looks mint!

Don't beat yourself up about it. Good purchase actually by the sound of it.

All Techs live up to their great reputation IMO. Timeless all-rounders with the correct blade choice.

Thank you. I told myself I wasn't going to buy anymore razors for a while but I keep reading so many good things about Techs and Overlanders. Like the kids say YOLO!

If it’s in good shape I wouldn’t be too worried. It’s a lot of work to legitimately recognize a good deal these days on eBay.

With a sharp blade a post war tech works great

I have my Grandfathers Tech circa 1939. With a fresh (always fresh) Feather it provides an excellent drama free shave.
