Castoneves wins the 2009 Indy 500

Not quite as exciting as the last couple years' races, but definitely one of the feel-good sports stories of the year. This guy's gone through one hell of an ordeal this year. He's such a talented driver and a nice guy and its great to see him back on top again.

Nice to see Danica finish so well too. Hopefully she'll be on the trophy too someday. Just a shame it'd be just the face and not a full.. um.. bust.

It's great that he won, he's been through a whole lot. I would like to see an American driver win this race, though.

I was there, he climbed the fence about a section over from me! On the scanner I heard his pit tell him that he was asked to go straight to victory lane.. he obviously didn't listen. Some officials ran out to keep him in the car, he ignored them too - he just won the Indy 500, he was going to do what he wanted!

I think that he truly appreciates the fans and support he gets. He's out there having a great time.
