Castle Forbes, which should I get?

Some say the Lavender is the best performer but I haven't been able to discern any noticeable differences...

I've used all three and I believe they perform the same. The lime EO does dry my skin just a bit though. Go with your preference. FYI the woody scent is 99% cedar IMO. If you buy it expecting sandalwood you will be disappointed....I love it though.

I own all three, and Lime is the best-smelling lime in my collection, but Cedar/Sandalwood absolutely dominates the others as the 'best' scent.

As has been previously been stated, it smells much more like cedar than sandalwood, but it's got such a rich, dry, woody smell it is a clear winner for me.

Cedar/Sandalwood>Lime>Lavender, but if you like lime or lavender, you absolutely won't be disappointed if you chose one of those.

I find the performance is the comparable across the scents.

I have no experience with the Sandalwood, but the Lime and Lavender are winners in my book.

The Lime and Lavender are considered the better scents by most. Out of those the Lime causes my skin and lips to burn (allergic). So the lavender is what I'd recommend by pleasant default.

I just recently got the sandalwood version. The scent is pretty woodsy, earthy and warm. Pictures of a wet forest in fall come to mind. On a German forum someone called it "wet graveyard".

I absolutely love the Cedar and Sandalwood! I am definitely in the minority here but I really like the smell. It reminds me of being outdoors during hunting season. I have not tried the others so can't comment on their smell. The performance is top notch. Small amount required, makes good lather, keeps my beard soft and protects my face well.

Fantastic shaving creams, but don't forget the Pre-shave balm & Post-shave balm.

I also am hopelessly addicted to the Cedarwood fragrance. It is unique among shaving creams, and the performance of all three versions is faultless. Right now I've got a tub of Limes that I'm using, and it is a very well done fragrance. I've had Lavender as well, but I'm not a fan of Lavender fragrances in general. You should look into gettilng some samples, because you shouldn't depend on our opinions. This is a world class product for sure.

Absolutely without any doubt, buy the Lime. It is,IMO,the best all round shaving cream on the market. If you like citrus/lime scent, you will love this cream.Well worth the $.

I only own the Lime and it's a great cream/croap. Hmmm... I think I need to buy the Lavender now that I think about it, and maybe the Sandalwood also.

The Lime scent is beyond comparison - simply wonderful. Having said that, I rate the Lavender as my #1 cream. They are all wonderful, but I find the Lavender leaves my skin in a happy state.

I use the Lime Balm and it is excellent, but expensive. It starts off a little tacky, but dries down to a very smooth finish.

The cream is worth every penny and really provides a lot of lather with a small dollop. The balm is wonderful, but is truly expensive - although it does go a long way. I will never be without the cream, I'm not sure about the balm yet.
