Castle Forbes Lonach

I have a box full of samples that I got with various orders from Colonial Drug. When I reorganized my bathroom, I gathered them all up and put them in a box in the cupboard. Then I forgot about them.

Today, after I finished shaving I thought that I'd pull them out and see what I had. On a whim, I decided to try the Castle Forbes Lonach. I know that their creams are well thought of, but I didn't know what to expect from the fragrance. It went on with a surprising smell--kind of like pineapple upside-down cake. I gave it a while to settle down and it turned into a nice warm woodsy fragrance with a sweet, herbal feel to it. I'm surprised at how much I like it.

Any other fans of Castle Forbes fragrances?

I have a bunch of samples right now and really like their scents. But I'm finding that they're very fleeting and last only 20 to 30 minutes on my skin.

The Lonach lasted a little longer with me but it was gone after lunch. I guess that if you're a Malcolm Forbes, you clap your hands and someone springs out and splashes a little more on for you and you're good for the rest of the day.

It is my favorite of the CF scents, the first one I got for me earlier this year.
The lasting power is about 8-9 hours on me. One has to be careful not to apply too much of it, it is quite strong. I think the base notes are Patchouli, Vetiver and Sandalwood.
