Tonight's shave reminded of why I have kept my 1912 for ages. I have neglected it for quite some time and tonight plucked it off the stand. 1912, TABAC & Semogue 620 - sort of old school. The shave was so close with absolutely no irritation. I haven't had a shave this close in a good while. I'll give it a whirl with other soaps/creams and see if it rings true through & through.

What I find nice is the smoothness of the shave even though you can really hear them whiskers being cut! Some of the ultra sharp DE's will produce a terrific shave of course but will definitely oblige a weeper along the way.
The 1912 is my favorite of my SE's, glad to hear you like it. I find a SE gives me a much better shave than my DE's and I do love The Sound of the shave.
this is another post that goes against my simple but twisted logic. I asume because these razors are new that maybe the angle is better. I forget the great minds that existed yesterday and so thought that these vintage razors were just hype of history. seems like I'm wrong and started my search for a nice vintage. just need to find which one.
tonight i will use this one with a sample of Esquire queen charlotte soap
