Can you explain why are these blades so expensive?

Many people think. Its expensive, then its better.
If you want to see goofy blade prices just check Ebay. Sometimes the same seller has the same pack of blades listed for several substantially different prices. If someone buys the cheap one they make a couple bucks, if they buy the expensive one they make a bunch more.
I think these are NOS.

Thanks for that tip, I just bought 100 of those for 17.90 from bestshave.net.
I get most of my blades from bestshave 
I believe some older English-made Wilkinson blades look nearly identical.

No matter, how is it that the same blades cost 45$ at one store, and less than 18 in other? How could this be?
The ones at RBM are the new german made black package, although the carton image shows the old english-made style packs, which in my experience aren't terribly better.
Distribution channels, market pricing, overhead costs, profit margins. Same reason why a stick of Palmolive may cost 49 pence in England but $6 in the US

KAI at least has the partial excuse (not quite ENOUGH of an excuse tho, imho) of being a high performance blade. heh
