CA "Stay at Home" Project

With the good Governor of California mandating time at home, I should have an opportunity to work on my "Hometown Razor". A gentle cleaning and then honing are the plan. I don't think I can do anything about the broken scale at the pivot end at this point. Good news is that it's still functional.

I don't disagree. But those striped plastic scales are sooooo "Columbus", IMHO. Replacing them might make it too "normal". Maybe even "pretty"...

I think the blade will be more of a challenge. Some serious metal degradation there.

You could try and make a small part from resin and epoxy in to repair, not sure if it would work or you could reach out to some resin casters about reproducing the same pattern to replace the scales..
