Burger King Shave

Man, does my Old Type make my face into hamburger meat! I have had this shaver for well over a year, and everytime I give it a go, it shreads up my face. I know the original blades were different, but I make sure that when I insert the blade, the exposure is even on both sides and the razor's head is tightened firmly. Doesn't matter how light the pressure I use or the blade I put in, I always end up with irritation and weepers. BTW, I don't have any problems with my Red Tip SS, Slim, or my Merkur HD. I really want to enjoy this razor. Advise?

The only thing I can think of is the blade angle. I know the old type should have a flatter angle than a super speed. By flatter I mean handle more parallel to the floor.

Recently I can only shave with feathers. I didn't find them comfortable in my old type. So I put a derby in and got a great shave:wink:

I have the same problem. Plus the open comb makes it easier to hack off bits of my mustache and goatee and sideburns.

I had one good run with it while I was doing a heavy rotation...I just can't remember what blade I had it in. I think the blade is the biggest factor for my old type.

Thanks for the replies. I will try working with the blade angle after my face heals. The last blade I had in it was a Red Personna. Derbys, Feathers, Bics and a couple of other brand blades have been used in it as well.
